Oh, the sweetness of twins. These little girls represent many answered prayers. They are miracles who have proven themselves to be quite the little warriors as well. Being born prematurely, they gave their family quite a scare with the various complications that come along with those circumstances. In fact, we were originally scheduled for a Fresh 48 Session, but changed last minute to a newborn session due their early arrival and stay in the NICU. Knowing how little they would be made me very nervous and I wasn’t sure what to expect. When I did arrive, their mama greeted me with a warm smile and quietly lead me to where the babies were sleeping. Would you believe she had them wrapped, sleeping, and ready to work!? As a photographer, I felt like I hit the lottery. As a mother, I wondered how she managed it all with three other small children in the home. Can we say SUPERWOMAN!?

I know photographers always say what an honor it is to document the lives of so many families, but it’s so true. I have the privilege of meeting new people and hearing their stories on a regular basis. I like to ask questions and share about myself as well. I find that when I do that, I can connect more to the people in front of my camera and the storytelling can begin. Before I go, I have one more thing. This entire shoot was done within 45 minutes! :)
