Honestly, ASAP. I am currently booked 1-2 months in advance. 3 months in advance for fall months.
Maternity: The session should take place when you are 30-34 weeks along.
Newborn: We’ll plan the session date for when the baby is 1-14 days old, but a little older than that is ok, too.
Fresh 48: The session is booked based on your delivery date. I will rely on you to notify me when you go into labor and/or as soon as the baby is born to come to the hospital for the shoot.
What is a lifestyle newborn session and can't you just do a few posed shots?
Lifestyle newborn and traditional newborn studio sessions are very different. My approach is to capture your family with your new addition in the most authentic way possible. I also include portrait shots of just the baby, but after I wrap him or her up, I allow the baby to move, stretch, and settle in naturally. I do not provide props or outfits of any kind. There is absolutely nothing wrong with posed/traditional newborn shoots, I just do not provide that service at this time. Need an example? Click HERE for featured sessions! Not your style? Do you have a studio?
No, not at this time. Outdoor locations or in your home are where we will be shooting.
What should we wear?
I get this question a lot. My only requests are no logos, no matchy-matchy, no white t-shirts tucked into blue jeans, and no wild colors. I have put together aPinterest board to give you some ideas. The goal is to coordinate colors, not match them. If all else fails, Mom should pick what she is most comfortable in and everyone can coordinate around her.
Do you offer any discounts, return client discounts, or offer mini-sessions?
